About This Tool
The purpose of the Budget Planning Tool is to guide the discussion between Technology
Services (“TSD”), Financial Services and departments to understand and assist in
the development of a department technology budget. This tool provides:
- Answers to typical questions about the technology budget
- Information about the technology services provided by TSD
- What expenses to budget for, and how to estimate them
- A worksheet to use as a basis for discussion between CTMs and department administrators
- What resources are available to help
- What’s new since the last budget year?
Your Customer Technology Manager (“CTM”) is the front-line TSD staff member
responsible for assisting departments in this process. If additional information is
needed beyond that provided in the “budget book,” he or she is in the best
position to obtain it. |
