This is a re-creation in 3-dimensions of one of the moon ships landing in Sinus Roris ("Dewey Bay"). The ship was designed by Wernher von Braun and rendered originally for the Collier's magazine space symposium by Chesley Bonestell (it was used on the cover of the October 18, 1952 issue). The image above is a screen shot of the VRML scene.

Some comments on the VRML modelling: the model is more detailed than one would like for ease of movement within the VRML scene; however, it is also less detailed than a dedicated space-art fan would like; many little details have been left off.
